SMC, short for Sheet Molding Compound, is crafted by blending various resin pastes with fiberglass chopped strands. This mixture is then transformed into a robust SMC sheet through a meticulously designed impregnation section. The sheet is safeguarded by PE/PP film on both sides, ensuring optimal protection and quality.
To achieve superior performance, the SMC sheet is stored in a temperature-controlled room where it undergoes a setting and partial curing process. This ensures that the SMC sheet is in prime condition for delivery or subsequent applications.
The meticulously treated SMC sheet is then molded within a precision-engineered steel mold. By applying heat to the die, the sheet cures completely, resulting in versatile FRP parts that cater to a wide array of applications.
