SMC, short for Sheet Molding Compound, combines various resin pastes with fiberglass chopped strand. This mixture forms the SMC sheet as it passes through a meticulously designed impregnation section and is safeguarded on both sides by PE/PP film.
To ensure quality, the SMC sheet is stored in a temperature-controlled room, allowing it to set and become partially cured before delivery or application.
The processed SMC sheet is then molded in a steel mold, transforming into diverse FRP parts for various applications. By introducing heat to the die, the sheet undergoes final curing to achieve its desired properties.
