SMC, or Sheet Molding Compound, is an advanced composite material. By expertly combining various resin pastes with fiberglass chopped strands, SMC sheets are crafted through a meticulously designed impregnation process. These sheets are then safeguarded by protective PE/PP films on both sides, ensuring impeccable quality and durability.
To achieve optimal performance, the SMC sheets are stored in a temperature-controlled environment. This crucial step allows the sheets to set and partially cure, ensuring they are in prime condition for delivery or subsequent application.
The semi-cured SMC sheets are then molded using precision-engineered steel molds. Through the application of heat, these sheets are transformed into a variety of FRP components, fully cured and tailored for diverse applications.
