SMC, known as Sheet Molding Compound, is crafted by blending different resin pastes and fiberglass chopped strands. This innovative mixture is transformed into an SMC sheet through a specially designed impregnation section and is protected on both sides by PE/PP film for enhanced durability and quality.
To ensure optimum quality, the SMC sheet is stored in a temperature-controlled environment, allowing it to set and partially cure before it is either delivered or used in applications.
Once treated, the SMC sheet is molded using a steel mold into various FRP parts for diverse applications. By applying heat to the die, the SMC sheet is finally cured, achieving its ultimate form and functionality.
