SMC, or Sheet Molding Compound, is a composite material formed using a unique blend of resin paste and fiberglass chopped strands. This mixture is processed into SMC sheets through a specially designed impregnation section and is safeguarded by PE/PP film on both sides, ensuring optimal quality and consistency.
To ensure the highest quality, the SMC sheets are stored in a temperature-controlled environment. This careful process allows the sheets to set and partially cure, making them ready for delivery or application.
Once treated, the SMC sheets are molded using steel molds and transformed into various FRP parts for diverse applications. The introduction of heat to the die ensures a complete curing process, resulting in robust and durable components.
