SMC, short for Sheet Molding Compound, is crafted by blending various resin pastes and fiberglass chopped strands. This unique mixture is transformed into an SMC sheet through a meticulously designed impregnation process and is safeguarded on both sides with PE/PP film.
To ensure optimal quality, the SMC sheet is stored in a temperature-controlled room, allowing it to set and become partially cured before it is either delivered or used.
The semi-cured SMC sheet is then molded in a precision-engineered steel mold to create various FRP components. By applying heat to the die, these components are fully cured and ready for diverse applications.
